The Hermes scarf! What do you think? I may exchange it for another one at the Hermes store downtown, or perhaps a purse - maybe I just want an excuse to go in there and browse around....

You totally deserve it! And I'm swooning with envy - it is so beautiful! I'm sure you look stunning in it, but I'd be heading downtown to look around, too - if only because having a good reason to be in Hermes only happens very rarely.

You know I love beautiful things. G is going to (eek) Vegas with a friend -- and even though I am not a shopper (or frankly much of a dresser-upper) when I went there a few years ago I had to go to the Hermes store and just walk around, casually glacing at things and hoping they wouldn't throw my ass out ;)
I told him that when he goes in a few weeks that I would LOVE him to bring me a scarf.
It's just so pretty.

Get the scarf! You might never wear it, but so what? I had an old boyfriend who gave me a Hermes scarf and frankly, I got to keep the real treasure.
