Do you remember what I just wrote - that DH said it would be our luck we'd get a baby right away? Well, guess who got a phonecall today? I resisted the urge to freak out in the middle of the street. DO NOT CONGRATULATE ME - as per usual, it happens to be one of the most dramatic inquiries that we got and I'm sure I submitted our profile under the assumption that who were we to get picky or we wouldn't get chosen; I was more afraid to say no than yes. There are a few red flags, I'm hemming and hawing here like crazy. Stay tuned.

Ummm... I actually thought the exact same thing as your dh when I heard about the puppy, but I didn't say anything!
I do hope those red flags turn out to be pink or blue instead. ; )
Good luck as you figure out what you want to do and what you are comfortable with. Do research on those red flags - that helped us immensely in our decision making. Amazing what a few phone calls to experts and some time on QUALITY internet sites will tell you - some will confirm your fears, and other situations may be put into percentages you are comfortable with. I have been in your seat a couple of times now - and it's difficult. I wish you wisdom, insight and an open heart that tells you what is right for you and your husband.
